Here's something new to add to the lexicon of computer commands: CTRL + ALT + UNLOAD.

Sick and tired of an uncooperative PC, Lucas Hinch of Colorado Springs took matters into his own hands.  He took a gun too.  Then, in a back alley, he fired eight shots into the machine -- "effectively disabling it," according to a Colorado Springs Police incident report.  "(The) Investigation revealed a resident was fed up with fighting his computer for the last several months," the report said.  Hinch was cited with discharging a firearm in the city limits.

The Daily Mail newspaper, released an article, entitled, “How many times a day do you shout at your PC?”  Their research showed that the average American suffers 40,000 bouts of tech rage in their lifetime.  It went on to say that Americans will experience 40,800 technology malfunctions in their lifetime.

Lately, there have been more and more ransomware reports in the news, with the latest being MegaCortex and Samsam.  Holding data hostage, demanding payment for its release, ransomware has become a huge security threat.  Since 2016, it's estimated that there have been 4,000 attacks daily.  According to the Department of Homeland Security, ransomware is the fastest growing malware threat, targeting both individuals and organizations. However, with proper preventive maintenance, your worries are reduced and your data much safer.   This video from CBS News explains more.
